How Do I Open a .Zip File
Opening a ZIP file is commonly called "unzipping." To Unzip a ZIP file, start by installing 7-Zip. Now, right click with your mouse on the file you want to unzip.
Now you have two choices. You can either click "Open" zipped file right now, or "Extract" the file to your computer.
What's the difference?
Well, if you "Open" your file now, you can access it like a normal file, but when you close 7-Zip, the file will still be zipped-up and compressed. If you "Extract" your file to your computer, it will become a normal file. You can open your unzipped file any time and use it like normal.
How do I UnRAR?
Unraring is just like unzipping.
Once you install 7-Zip, all you have to do is right click on the file and choose "Open" or "Extract." Just the same as unzipping, if you "Open" the file you can access it right now, but if you "Extract" it then you can always access it.
In fact, extracting a file is just like saving a full version of the file to your computer!
How Do I Unarchive Other Files?
Have another file type beside ZIP and .RAR that you need to open? 7-Zip can probably do it. Just use the same method: right click on the file and select "Open" or "Extract."
